Last chapters, Yoshi and M. Para Koopa decided to take a moment of peace, and ventured the galaxies in search for powerups, however, premonitions are being felt on both sides. Let's take a look at Yoshi. "Oh boy! What a Mario Party it was!" Yoshi said to Mario, Toad and Luigi. "You-a-bet!" Mario commented. "Yup! Hope we can do it again!" Luigi added. "Count me in next time, for I'm going to get more Stars than all of you! And coins, heh." Toad said. "You wish!" Luigi responded. "Ha ha! Well, Yoshi, it's time me and Luigi go. We'll hang out at a more extended time some other time, alright?" Mario said. "Ok! Have a good night." Yoshi answered, as he waved the Mario Bros. Goodbye. "Well... What do you suggest we do now?" Toad asked Yoshi, turning the Wii off. "Dunno, I'm feeling pretty tired, so I think it's best to go to sleep." Yoshi said, and went to his bedroom. "Ok! I'll take the couch, very versatile!" Toad said to himself. Later, the house was silent, only snores could be heard. Toad slept peacefully, Yoshi, on the other hand, was having trouble going fast asleep. "Ugh.. No.. Where am I..." Yoshi said on his sleep. "Ugh... Where am I?" Yoshi asked, as he saw that everything was on flames, and the sky was bright orange and red. He looked ahead, and in a corner, stood Peach and Toad, looking around insecurely. "Hey guys... What's happening?" Yoshi said, trying to stand up. "What's happening?! More like, why did you do this?! Why did you do this to us?!" Peach said frantically, and she and Toad ran to take cover. "What?! What did I do?!" Yoshi said, and ventured around, before bumping into a wall. "Ow!" "Watch out! Behind you Yoshi!" A voice, that sorely sounded like Mario's, warned Yoshi. "What?!" Yoshi looked, and to his front, an angry Major Burrows quickly approached him, only the blue shell could be seen. Yoshi, unable to move, screamed in horror, as one of the spikes was about to stab him, everything went red. "NO! NO!!! NOT ME!!! AHH!!!" Yoshi screamed, and fell down his bed. Toad hurried into the room, with a frying pan in hand. "What's happening?! Did someone break into the house?!" Toad asked. "No, I can't die now... Help..." Yoshi said, still asleep. "What?!" Toad approached Yoshi, who was down on one corner of the room. "Are you ok?" Yoshi started to return to his senses. "Yes... I-I'm alright..." Yoshi said, shivering and with tears running down his face. "Dude, you must have had a real bad nightmare! You were screaming and saying that you couldn't die, and asked for help!" Toad said, worried. "I... I d-did?" Yoshi asked, wiping off the tears. "Yeah! I thought something happened to you! Bandits are common at 6:00 am." Toad said, and helped Yoshi get up. "No, I'm... F-f-fine... At least." Yoshi managed to say, feeling weak. "Don't worry, I'll get you a glass of water, so you feel better." Toad said, and dashed off to the kitchen. "That nightmare... What-what could it mean... I can't si-simply pass it off.. ." Yoshi said to himself. He never had dreamt something on such a level. "Hey Yoshi, have some water. If you need something else, I'm here. I'll call Mario and Luigi, they can probably help." Toad said, and left the room again, after giving Yoshi the glass of water. A while later, Mario and Luigi were in the house too. "And, then, Major Burrows' shell approached me... And..." Yoshi explained. "And then what?" Mario said. "I... Don't know... But I think I got killed..." Yoshi said, holding back his tears. "Alright, don't worry. We all have very bad dreams at times. Probably a mix of Mario Galaxy we played plus something scary we watched made the Dream happen." Luigi analyzed. "Huh, you have quite the knowledge about dreams Luigi." Toad commented. "Thank Dreambert for that. Heh." Luigi said. "Anyway, why do you think it means something else?" Mario asked Yoshi. "I don't know... I feel it... It's a premonition... I guess I am going to die soon..." Yoshi said in fear. "Nah, don't worry. How about we go to Merlee to consult such a dream?" Mario suggested. "Sounds good to me." Luigi agreed. "Alright." Yoshi said. Later, they were at Merlee's place in Flipside. "Hello, Mario, and Luigi... What brings you to my place, so many years past?" Merlee asked the Bros. "Well, you see, you're a fortune teller, and you have all this crazy knowledge in Super natural stuff and dreams, right?" Luigi asked. "Indeed. What shall I help you with?" Merlee responded and asked. "We got a friend here, that had quite a nightmare, and he feels that it means something." Mario said, and stepped aside to show Yoshi. "Yes... I just think... Feel that it's something..." Yoshi said. "Alright... Tell me the dream, and I may tell you what's going on." Merlee said, and proceeded to listen to Yoshi. A few minutes later, she was done analyzing. "Yes... Yes.... I see it now, Yoshi." Merlee said. "What do you see?" Yoshi said. "This dream you had, my friend, is a premonition of things to come. And it's not looking bright, sorry to say." Merlee explained. "...." Yoshi stood there speechless, just shedding a tear. "But fear not. You can change your fate. Be careful of what you do, and always watch your back, always. As so, you may break the seal of fate that was placed upon you." Merlee said. "Alrig-alright. I'll do so. Thanks." Yoshi said, and felt more clear. Later, they were back at Yoshi's House, discussing what happened. "This is all the more mysterious." Mario said. "I agree." Toad added. "Yup, but I think I feel better now, I just need to relax alone. Thanks for your help." Yoshi said. "Friends are here to help, Yosh." Luigi said, patting Yoshi on a shoulder. "Well, we'll be on our way then. Take care Yoshi." Mario said as he and Luigi walked off, Toad following. "Yes, I will." Yoshi said, and entered his house, with stress running down his spine. Next day, it was all pretty normal. M. Para Koopa had come by Yoshi's House to visit him, and have a sleepover. "So, how's life been treating you, now that you're free of Bowser's domain?" Yoshi asked M. "Ah, couldn't be better! I'm working at Cafe U in weekends so I can earn some money, and get me settled down. But nonetheless, it has been great!" M. Para Koopa explained proudly. "I'm glad to see you're doing good." Yoshi said. "Thanks." M. Para Koopa replied. "Also, I want to ask you a question." Yoshi said. "Ok, go ahead." M. Replied. "Ok, eh, have you been having any bad dreams, nightmares, recently?" Yoshi asked. "Now that you mention it... Yes." M. Para Koopa said. "Mhm... What was the nightmare about?" Yoshi said, curious. "Well, I wouldn't certainly call it a nightmare, just a bad dream. I dreamt that Koopa was chasing me, and I ended up in a dark room, and he stabbed me with his knife by surprise. Creepy, but I won't give it much thought, heh." M. Para Koopa explained. "Oh... I had a nightmare, and a very bad one. Turns out, it's a prediction of things to happen..." Yoshi said, contemplating the night sky from the doorway to his backyard. "What was it about?" M. Para Koopa asked. "Well, it was about that an invasion seemingly happened, and I tried to get things together, and I ended up getting killed..." Yoshi said, and shuddered. "Wow... So you think mine might mean something? Or have I been dreaming weird stuff?" M. Para Koopa said. "I don't know, but I'm certainly worried for mine." Yoshi said. "Don't worry, don't put much thought. Maybe it won't happen, and you'll be fine." M. Para Koopa assured Yoshi, and smiled. "Yeah, you're right." Yoshi agreed, and smiled back. "Now, let's play some games, and have fun, because that what sleepovers are for!" M. Para Koopa said, and Yoshi agreed, and both went to play with the Wii. Later, both were sleeping, Yoshi on his room, and M. Para Koopa on the couch. That night, Yoshi also felt uneasy. Suddenly, he woke up. "Huh... Weird... I usually don't wake up at these hours..." Yoshi said. He made his way around, and he could hear pictures being snapped and people talking. "Eh?" He said and walked toward his backyard. To his surprise, many Toads were all over the backyard, and a lot more were circling his Launch Star. Among them, was Toad himself, talking. "Come on everyone! Come see the Oh so mystical Launch Star! Takes ya anywhere in the Galaxy!" Toad announced. "No... No way... Impossible!!! No!" Yoshi said, hurrying to go outside and stop everything, as his secret had been found. However, when he walked towards the door, he woke up again. It was all a dream. "Agh!! .... Ah... It was... A Dream.... Oh, thank goodness." Yoshi said in relief, but went out to his backyard to be sure. The Launch Star was there, and everything was intact, the early morning feeling was the only guest watching the Launch Star. "Wow... What a dream... I hope that one never happens for sure. Doesn't need to." Yoshi said, and sat down to see the night. M. Para Koopa, on the other hand, was also having trouble to sleep, oddly enough. "What... Where is this..." M. Para Koopa said asleep. M. Para Koopa woke up in a place that seemed ravaged. All he could see and identify was that he was in a ship, there was a Black hole behind, not so far from him was Yoshi, armed with the hammer, Kamek and Koopa at the border of the ship. "Hey! What's going on?! Did I get kidnapped again?!" M. asked. "Almost! But Yoshi has more speed than we thought!" Koopa yelled. "Don't worry M., I got you covered." Yoshi assured M. Para Koopa. "Alright." "Hey hey, I see you're doing quite well, however, it's time I give you a real test!" Kamek declared. "What do you mean?" Yoshi said. "Ah, it's nothing. You wouldn't dare to hurt your new best friend. Koopa, distract Yoshi." Kamek said, and pointed his wand towards M. Para Koopa. Koopa ran over to Yoshi, and the 2 settled in a fight. "Yoshi! Wait!" M. Para Koopa stood up to help Yoshi, but quickly fell back to the ground, clutching his head. "Ouch! What's going on..!" From there, he felt like he lost control of himself, and everything went white for him. "Gah!!! No! Argh!!" M. Para Koopa yelled as he fell off the couch. "Huh?" Yoshi said and approached M. Para Koopa. "Are you alright?" M. Para Koopa didn't respond, instead simply faced Yoshi, but the dark room didn't make much help for seeing. "Hey... Wake up! You probably had a bad dream!" Yoshi said, and approached M., but stepped back when a red light dimly lit the room. It was M. Para Koopa's eyes, that strangely, were bright red. ".... M? ...." Yoshi said, scared. "Yoshi... I must kill Yoshi..." M. Para Koopa said in his usual voice. "M! Snap out of it! Kamek's got you?!" Yoshi said, grabbing him by a wing. "Yoshi..." M. Para Koopa said, and attacked Yoshi, flinging him towards a wall. "Gah! Tell me this is a bad dream..." Yoshi said scared, and just then, a frying pan fell on his face, knocking him out. The apparently possesed M. Para Koopa looked at Yoshi, before his eyes went back to normal, and his head started to hurt. "Ouch... Where am I?... I lost track of everything..." M. Said, and turned on a light, instantly remembering everything. "Oh Yeah! The sleepover! We were sleeping!" He said to himself, fully remembering. "But... Something's wrong..." He said, and saw Yoshi on the ground, wounded by the frying pan. "Yoshi!" "Aww man! What happened?! Are you okay?!" M. Para Koopa said as he shook him. Slowly, Yoshi regained his senses. "Argh... Why... Why did you hit me..." Yoshi said. "Me, hit you? I never would!" M. Para Koopa said. "Well... You were being... Controlled, so it makes sense..." Yoshi said. "What?" "Yup... You were dreaming, and when you woke up, your eyes were red! You threw me towards the wall... And dropped a frying pan on my... Head...." Yoshi said. "... So that's why..." M. Para Koopa said. "Why what?" Yoshi asked. "That's why I woke up, but I couldn't do anything... I felt that I lost control of myself, and I helplessly watched as I attacked you! This is my fault for having such a weak mind..." M. Para Koopa said. "No... It's Kamek's. He's now targeting you. I can feel it." Yoshi said, as his eyes flashed red. "Well, Let's hope not. Koopa isn't a big deal but Kamek certainly can be. Now, let me see... No, I can't treat such a wound." M. Para Koopa said. "Well, doesn't matter. I'm way more intrigued by what happened. Your control was just so subtle and sudden, it didn't belong there." Yoshi explained. "You're right. Who can we consult this to?" M. Para Koopa asked. "We can go over to Merlee's place, she can help us." Yoshi said, and he and M. Para Koopa prepared to take the trip to Flipside.
