Last 2 chapters, a new threat had made it's way up to Yoshi, and destroyed things in half. Yoshi would go crazy attempting to get back his now old friend. "I knew it, he wasn't a real friend. He wanted to take use of you, but this situation managed to buzz him off easier." Mario said, attempting to calm Yoshi. "Just stop with that dumb theory! It's not true! We were true friends, we helped each other when we most needed it! Cosmic only caused the problems and managed to break a friendship in less than a day!" Yoshi yelled back. He didn't know how to react. He had tears coming out, but his stares said anger. He had gotten rid of Cosmic. What else was missing? "Look, how about we try to take things together! I do believe you, Yoshi. I understand Mario, Koopas are no friendly matter. But if this was a true friendship like you assure it was, we could try pasting it back." Luigi said, and hugged Yoshi. "Thanks, Luigi. But I prefer to take this matter alone. You guys can go now, thanks for the advice. "If you say so." Luigi said, and he and Mario left. "Well, I suppose I can take quick travels to space to plan out how could I get everything back on track. Sounds good to me." Yoshi said, looking to the Launch Star. Not so far away, at M. Para Koopa's house... M. Para Koopa tossed and turned in his bed. He felt mildly tormented. He had removed one of the few, true friends he had in his life. "But, but it's justifiable! But I don't know if I'm right or wrong..." He told to himself. He knew Yoshi wasn't what he experienced. He wanted to make sure that was only a sick clone. He wanted to confirm, and be friends with Yoshi. "He's pretty much the only friend that truly is, well, a friend. Not like a work partner on an awkward school project." Para Koopa made the comparisons. He decided to go get a drink, and think some more. High above in the darkest reaches of space, the sun sat on, watching. It's optical lens flare followed Yoshi's eyes as he arrived on the Boss Blitz Galaxy. "Alright, time to battle! This might get my reflexes going." Yoshi said, but he noticed something wrong. He wasn't on Dinopiranha's planet. He was on Bouldergeist's, the second planet. "Huh? What is going on?" "Hello, Yoshi. Long time no see, ah?" A familiar voice called out. Yoshi hesitantly turned around. It was Kamek. "Kamek! What are you up to now?!" Yoshi asked, ready to fight. Kamek never stands close to the enemy when he's going to do something. "Nothing, just want to play with you a little. And while I'm at it! I'm going to finish you! Your friendship with M. Para Koopa is now shreds, so it will be even easier!" Kamek explained, and laughed. Yoshi felt taunted. "Argh! Did you plan all out so me and M. Para Koopa stopped being friends?!" Yoshi yelled. "No sir. It seems that truly a rival of yours has returned looking for revenge, and attacked you where it would be difficult for you to retaliate. Your friend." Kamek said. "That, IS IT!" Yoshi screamed and ran towards Kamek, ready to hit. "Not so fast!! You first need to go through my favorite version of Boss Blitz Galaxy!" Kamek said, stopping Yoshi on his tracks. "... What?" "Your worst nightmare, my friend. Enjoy, Boss Blitz Chaos!!" Kamek said, and started laughing like crazy. Yoshi looked at him, leaving on his broom downwards. "Get back here!" He yelled to no avail. The planet started trembling, and a chill ran down his whole body. When the tremor ended, he didn't want to turn around. His instincts made him do it anyways. There, in Bouldergeist's arena, sat Bouldergeist. But he was not alone. Behind him, Yoshi could see the menacing crown of King Kaliente. At the sides, like guards, stood both Dinopiranhas. A blue shell was laying down in front of everyone. "No... No... No no no no..." Yoshi felt uneasy. He pinched himself some times to see if he wasn't dreaming. Sure enough, it was as real as it could be. He looked at Bouldergeist, who let out a battle cry, and with his hands attacked the arena, which crumbled with everyone standing, and fell down, like there was some strong gravitional pulse nearby. Yoshi fell faster than the others. Later, Yoshi had fallen down, but survived the fall. He woke up, in a very familiar sight. "Augh... Where am I?" Yoshi said as he mildly patted his head, and looked around. The sky was red and orange, the clouds matched like perfect. There was smoke and fire everywhere, houses were ablaze. Then, Yoshi realized. "No way... I'm on Toad Road! The Mushroom Kingdom! Just like in my dream!!" Yoshi said, and instantly started shaking. The once familiar place was now Hell on Earth. He looked for his friends everywhere, but there was no sign of them. Then, by the corner of his eye, he saw Peach and Toad, looking around insecurely. He approached them with fear. "Guys, what's going on?" Yoshi asked Peach. "What happened?! More like, why did you do this?! Why did you bring them here?!" Peach yelled, distressed. Then, giant footsteps were heard. Peach and Toad jumped, and ran away. "Guys! Where are you going?!" Yoshi just looked, as the tree behind them got snapped in half. He screamed in terror as he saw Dinopiranha emerge, and roar out to him, ready to attack. Just then, it's tail went flying upward, hitting it's head, and plucking some petals out of his head. "What... What!!" Yoshi said, and shyed away from the stunned Dinopiranha. "Don't worry Yoshi! We got this!" Mario said as he entered the fray. "Mario! Thank goodness you're here!" Yoshi said, relieved. "I had to get over here! I couldn't believe it, but Fiery Dinopiranha landed on our Castle! At least it didn't do much damage, and it's being distracted, so we can attack him." Mario explained, and just then Luigi hit Dinopiranha again, making it even more mad. "Look, let's go to that house! I'll explain more there!" Mario said, and told Yoshi and Luigi to follow him while the monster was distracted. When they entered the house, Yoshi felt odd. "Ok, so here's the scoop." Mario started talking, but Yoshi wasn't paying much attention. He looked around the house, and couldn't believe it. They had entered M. Para Koopa's house! The Yellow walls, pictures of him and Yoshi, and everything M. Had put for decoration. "No way... I hope he's around! I need to talk to him." Yoshi thought. Just then, Mario was done talking. "And now we're here! I don't know how the bosses got over here, but we're going to take them down!" Mario said. "Yeah! Sure!" Yoshi said, following. "Guys... We got trouble...." Luigi said as he gulped. Mario and Yoshi took a peek. There they were. The 2 most threatening bosses. Dinopiranha was about to die. It's Fiery counterpart was being taken care of, along with King Kaliente. The bosses were none other than Bouldergeist and Major Burrows. Some of Yoshi's biggest fears. "Well, doesn't matter! Let's get out there and fight!! This Kingdom won't be destroyed by, practically, aliens!" Mario yelled, inspiring and motivating Luigi. "Yoshi, are you coming?" Mario asked. "Yeah! I'll be there in a few! I'll help you!" Yoshi said, and with that, the Bros. Left to fight. "Now... He must be in here..." Yoshi said, looking around the house for M. Para Koopa. He was nowhere to be seen. "Maybe he left. He's probably going to get this house destroyed. The one his friend helped him build." Yoshi thought, worried. He wiped the tears, and dashed off to the main road, where the battle was taking place. "Alright Yosh! Let's take care of Major Burrows! He's slightly easier than Bouldergeist!" Mario yelled. "Sure thing!" Yoshi felt ready. If he defeated the bosses, he would get Kamek nearby, and he was going to give him a piece of his mind. But he hoped he'd make it alive, and try to patch things up with M. Para Koopa. "Alright! Here we go!" Yoshi said as he approached the Major himself. "Over here!" Yoshi called out. Major Burrows saw him, and roared. He went underground to do his usual attack. "Mario! Luigi! You know what to do!" "We got it!" Mario and Luigi said in unison as they chased Burrows, ready to attack. Major Burrows went out, and chased Yoshi on ground, but Mario and Luigi attacked him fiercely. Yoshi ran off to do his part, and just then, M. Para Koopa had arrived. "What in the world is going on?!" He asked himself as he looked at the scenery, but something caught his attention. Yoshi was there. "Yoshi! I think what he said... Is true.... I don't know..." His thoughts made him get lost again. He still didn't know if he should accept him back. Should he? Should he help him here as well? All that raced through his mind. Yoshi kept running away from the shell, till he bumped into a cornered wall. "Ow! Mario! Luigi! Do your part!" He yelled. Much to his luck, the Mario Bros. Were fighting Bouldergeist, as the latter was distracting them. "Oh no! I'll have to do something!" He said, and took out the hammer. He felt ready. Major Burrows went from underground to attack Yoshi. Then, Yoshi saw the chance. "Here goes nothing!!" Yoshi said, and swung the Hammer against Major Burrows' face fiercefully. Major was disoriented by a moment, but once the pain had hit him, he was done. His eyes turned bright orange, and the shell went from blue, to red. "Alright! I'll finish you off!" Yoshi said confidently. He knew his attack pattern well. But then, he got completely surprised. Instead of the usual attack, Major Burrows went underground, and circled around Yoshi quickly. Yoshi didn't know how to react, he had never seen an attack like that before. "Alright! We got out! Let's leave him for later!" Mario said, and he and Luigi ran over to where Yoshi was, but they took steps back due to the shell. "Yoshi's on trouble! Help him!" Luigi said to Mario. The same sentences ran through M. Para Koopa's mind. This was a decisive moment. Mario looked for the chance to interfere the attack, and M. Para Koopa was getting more doubtful by the minute. "Argh... The World... It spins..." Yoshi said, dizzy from the shells circling path. He walked against the wall, but he was completely disoriented. Then, the shell stopped circling, and dashed straight to Yoshi. "Hang in there!!!" Both Mario and M. Para Koopa said at the same time, and approached Yoshi to help him. They raced as fast as they could. A smash against a wall was heard. Mario stopped right where he was. M. Para Koopa lost flight and crashed in the ground. "Oh lord..." What happened was too much for Luigi. He fainted near a tree. Mario and M. Para Koopa looked forward, and instant regret, and fear passed by. The shell was standing on one place, moving, looking for a target. On one of the shell's spikes, was Yoshi. The spike had gone right through him. His eyes gave a scared, and saddened stare. "No way... This isn't possible..." Mario said. His eyes widened, and he dared to look again. But if Mario was in deep regret, more was M. Para Koopa. The stare seemed directed at him, like the world told him that he was responsible for Yoshi's sudden death. That he brought this upon him. Mario wasn't done, instead, he was more angered. He ran to attack Major Burrows in any way possible. M. Para Koopa clutched his head. He couldn't take it. He felt it was his fault. He thought it was his fault, for befriending him, and for not trusting him at the end. "HYAAA!!!" Mario screamed as he directed a powerful, fiery punch at Major Burrows. Major crashed in a wall, and fell down to the floor as he exploded out of existence. Yoshi's lifeless body fell right in front of him. "Yoshi... Why you..." Mario said as he held back tears. He couldn't bear to look. "Oh my... That must have been painful..." Luigi said, scared. If he was uneasy with ghosts, this was worse. M. Para Koopa looked from a corner. He was fearful. Angry. Sad. "Mario, I think someone sent these bosses to kill him specifically..." Luigi said, trembling. "Why do you think that? They're destroying the whole area!" Mario said, puzzled. "If the bosses were in for killing all, we would be dead long ago. They would have ganged up on us since they were together! They weren't looking for us. They were looking for Yoshi." Luigi explained, because, despite the remaining bosses around, none went towards the Mario Bros., mysteriously, after Yoshi had been killed. "Is that so... Then... Whoever sent these monsters to kill Yoshi... Will pay." Mario said, and clutched a hand, and looked at Yoshi again. Then, all that talk hit M. Para Koopa. "I think... I know who did this..." He said, approaching the bros. Then, Mario looked around, and he saw M. Para Koopa. His sad, neutral expression turned into anger. "Of course... I knew it was you. And you thought I wasn't suspecting. RIGHT?!" Mario yelled at M. Para Koopa. He never trusted him, and that sudden de-friending was enough to convince him that it was M. "What?! What are you talking about?! It wasn't me!" M. Para Koopa said, scared. If he already felt guilty enough, Mario was the cherry on the cake. He knew who wanted to kill Yoshi, but Mario didn't give him chance. "Shut up!! It's very obvious! You have screwed up, 'friend'!!" Mario said, and stood up. "Mario! No! I don't think it was him!" Luigi said. "It all points out to him! After I finish him, I'll tell you why!! Take Yoshi's body somewhere safe, and call some help for the bosses!" Mario told Luigi, and started running towards M. Para Koopa with a fiery punch.
