Things started to look up. Yoshi revived, and so did M. Para Koopa. However, it was a rude awakening, as Kamek has one final trick up his sleeve, and it's no small thing. Our heroes, along with Mario and Luigi, have the world resting on their hands... "Alright. Time to get moving. Kamek should be around here." Yoshi said, and started walking around the rusty metal flooring of The Dreadnought. The other three also followed. "Whatever he has planned, it's definetly very bad, since he's using this monstrosity..." Luigi said, and shuddered. "Don't worry, we'll triumph. We are the Mario Bros, after all." Mario said, and patted Luigi on the back. Luigi sighed. Then, Yoshi alerted everyone to get behind a wall. "I see Kamek, guys. He's talking with Bowser. I can't see Peach though..." Yoshi told the crew. Everyone tried to be as hidden as possible while looking. "Ah ha ha... Don't you like it, Your Highness? You discussed this plan a while ago. You approved." Kamek told Bowser. "I know. But I'm not so sure. We're going to devastate the Kingdom, so we can take it over?" Bowser asked to make sure. He knew well the capabilities of the ship. "Indeed. We can shoot down the whole planet to pieces, and turn those pieces into our new empire." Kamek explained, and laughed. "Doesn't that sound amazing, Bowser?" "Yes... It does! Let's get on with it! Now!" Bowser yelled, and Kamek chuckled. "Not going to happen, Bowser!" Mario said as he and Luigi sprung out the shadows. "What?! How did you get in here?! There's no way to reach this!" Bowser said, surprised. "They used some help, and perhaps could use some more." Yoshi said, walking out and standing beside Mario. "That pesky dino too?! You guys are driving me mad already!" Bowser yelled as he stomped the floor. "And they're not completely alone. I'll help them stop your rotten plans." M. Para Koopa said bravely, and walked out as well, standing besides Yoshi. He felt nervous, but he knew everything would be okay. "M. Para Koopa... I see you're here too. You also revived." Kamek said. "Do not fret, for I will make you pay for traitor. And you will return back to the Koopa Troop, Yes or Yes." He continued, and pointed his wand at him, but did nothing. "I won't! I am a free Koopa of many!" M. Para Koopa said back. "If that's so, then you shouldn't ally with Mario and his group! You will pay!" Bowser said, and managed to make M. Shiver. "Doesn't matter. Our plan is far too advanced for you to stop us now. You are as late as you could have been." Kamek said, and laughed. "I highly doubt it." Yoshi responded, and took out his hammer. "See ya on the new Bowser empire, punks! You'll be gladly finished there!!" Bowser declared, and he and Kamek dissapeared. "They won't get that far!" Mario said, and turned back to the others. "Let's go, all! We need to chase them down before it's actually late!" "Yeah!" Everyone else said in unison, and the Mario Bros. Dashed ahead. "Alright, M. Prepare the best of your skills. The final fight is upon us." Yoshi told M. Para Koopa. "Yes." The latter nodded, and suddenly, a knife flew right by his side, and fell on the ground. "What was that?!" Yoshi yelled and looked at his surroundings. "Well... Well... Well. If it ain't my old buddies, Yoshi and, and, M. Para Koopa! Hi! ha, ha ha, HAHAHAHA!!" A demented voice called out. The friends turned back, and in a corner, there was a pair of glowing red eyes in the darkness. The eyes walked out of the shadows. It was Koopa. He had various knives on a belt around him, and his stare was that of a demented freak. His eyes twitched repeatedly. "Koopa... What happened to you?!" M. Para Koopa asked, scared. Even through the darkest times, Koopa never had become like that. "Nothing, buddy! I'm fine!!! FINE! EXCEPT FOR THE FACT YOU TWO AREN'T DEAD! YOU GUYS AREN'T DEEP ON THE GROUND, ROTTING FOREVER!!" Koopa screamed like a maniac, and slowly walked to the duo with a sharp knife in his right hand. "And I, I need to fix that! Or else I won't be happy. Kamek won't be happy. The King, his Hideousness, Bowser! Won't be happy!" "Koopa... I know we despise each other, but it doesn't have to end like this!" M. Para Koopa said, backing away with Yoshi. "Despise?! DESPISE?! No. That's not what I feel towards you any longer. I have nothing to feel for you. I only want you dead. Even tearing your wings apart will make me happy. And I could make you watch, as I torture your puny friend. Yes... Yes..." Koopa continued on. "M., we need to get out of here. He wants nothing but for us to be dead. He's broken beyond repair." Yoshi warned M, who felt bad for what his friend had become. Driven to insanity, wanting nothing more than to rid the duo from his life, and everyone else's. "You're right..." M. Para Koopa replied, and sighed. "I'm so sorry, Koopa." He said, and he and Yoshi ran off to catch up with the Bros. "Hey!! Where are you guys going! We're going to have lots of FUN! GET OVER HERE!!!" Koopa screamed, and gave chase. Shortly after, the friends had landed in a corridor with a large window area, looking for the Mario Bros. "Mario! Luigi! Where are you?!" Yoshi yelled, and looked around. Then, a mechanic sound blasted through the corridor, and a screen appeared. "Hello, Yoshi. You may have gotten to our base, but this is where it ends." Kamek appeared and said onscreen. The screen slowly lifted up and vanished. "Kamek, he knows we're here!" M. Para Koopa said, scared. "Yes, but doesn't matter. Let's go." Yoshi replied, and then, lasers started shooting from the walls, and remained, like a security measure. "Run!!" Yoshi yelled, and he and M. Quickly escaped the corridor, before it got overriden by the lasers. "Alright... We might be lost..." M. Para Koopa commented, and Yoshi slightly nodded, when they heard a familiar voice. "Luigi! Get the Princess aside! I got this brute!" They heard Mario yell, and along with that, many punching sounds. "They must be nearby!" Yoshi exclaimed, and he and M. followed the voice. When they approached the source, they could see clearly. Mario and Bowser battled in a quite small plataform, but big enough to give space to the brawl. Peach and Luigi stood aside, afraid. "Guys! We're here!" Yoshi said as he and M. Walked to Luigi and Peach. "Great! Please help Mario! Things will get bad!" Luigi pleaded. He had to keep guard of Peach, and didn't want to get hurt either. But as well, he was worried for his brother. "I don't need help! Please stay safe!" Mario managed to say as Bowser threw him to the edge of the platform. "Mamma mia!!" "Don't you dare, Bowser!!" M. Para Koopa yelled, flew to Bowser and pushed Bowser with all his might. "Woah!!! What's the deal, traitor?!" Bowser said, balancing on the edge he had slid in. "The deal is, that you are done for! Mario will finish you!" M. Para Koopa yelled back. He couldn't believe that he was responding his old leader, one that was sure to be feared. "Not this time! But first, let me get you done for!" Bowser roared, and ran over to ram M. "M.! Don't do it!!" Yoshi yelled as he took a step forward, but Mario stopped him. "What do you mean?! Remember hi-" Mario said as Yoshi interrupted him. "NO! Don't you see he saved you?! I need to help him! He has saved me many times as well!! You need to understand!!" Yoshi yelled at Mario. He slightly jumped when he heard M. Para Koopa wince in pain. "Augh!! You... Won't bring me... Down!!" M. Para Koopa yelled at Bowser, who was trying to push him off. "How come you don't fall! My strength is enough to push a pathetic wimp like you!!" Bowser said back. "THAT'S IT!!!" M. Para Koopa screamed, and with all his possible strength, he slid Bowser off, making him dangle in the edge. "No, NO! How is this possible?!?!" Bowser yelled, and lost the grip on the plataform, and fell off. "AAAAAAAHHH!!!!" His bloodcurdling scream echoed through space as he fell off the Dreadnought. Everyone watched, horrified. "Oh my god...." Peach said, covering her face, scared. "No way..." Mario was petrified. He couldn't believe it. "I... I killed him..." M. Para Koopa said as he saw Bowser trail off like a falling star. "Yoshi... I killed Bowser..." "Yes..." Yoshi replied, speechless. Rarely the death of Bowser was this impacting. "Oh my goodness..." M. Para Koopa said, and backed off the edge. He had made the King Of The Koopas fall to his death. "Now what?! You became the HERO?! That's what you never were and will never be, you winged freak!" Koopa said, approaching the group, with the knife on his hand. He smiled malevolently. "You killed the King..." "Yes..." M. Para Koopa said as he turned around and started shaking "P-P-Please don't do anything to us. Snap o-out of it!" He said, stuttering. "Snap out of what?! I would never let such precious hatred leave me. It's all I AM NOW! AND I LOVE IT!" Koopa yelled. "It might be the only thing I love." "Koopa, stay back. I'm warning you. Don't do anything." Yoshi said, preparing his hammer. "Oh, I won't do anything..." Koopa said, and his smile became even longer and more demented. He looked around, and his sight caught Peach. "I'll just push the beauty girl from here..." He said lightly, and ran towards Peach. "Peach!" Luigi noticed, and stood in Koopa's way, to protect her. "To a side, you wimp!" Koopa didn't stop, instead, he pushed Luigi aside, making him balance on an edge. "Woah! Very lucky..." "Lucky indeed... But luck won't stand in my way!" Koopa yelled, and when he went to run again, something stopped him. "What is it?!" He looked back, and it was M. Para Koopa. "Koopa... You don't have to do this..." M. Said, worried. "I know I've made your life miserable for a long time, but it doesn't have to end like this! Come on!" "M., I don't think that will work..." Yoshi said, and looked at Koopa, who was put in thought by his former friend's words. "... Perhaps..." Koopa muttered. Then, he grasped the knife again. "NOT!" He laughed and swung his weapon towards him. "Wow!" M. Para Koopa hovered up, dodging the attack. "Guys, I think we should get rid of him! We got something bigger to do!" Mario suggested. "Like WHAT?! Stomp on some innocent KOOPAS?!" Koopa yelled, while looking at Mario. "... Well..." Mario stuttered to say something. It was a good argument, but it definitely didn't belong here. "Look, that's not what I me-" "SILENCE! GET OVER HERE!" He screamed, and decided to run towards Mario. "Yoshi! Do we do something?!" M. Para Koopa asked. "I'm afraid not. We need to get Kamek, and he's going to help him and distract us." Yoshi explained. "Alright..." M. Looked down, and sighed. "Olé!" Mario slid aside just as Koopa passed by. "What?! Get over-" Koopa managed to say as he stopped right at the edge of the platform. "Gah!" He tried to balance up, but instead, fell down the platform. "Koopa!" M. Para Koopa looked, scared. "AHHHH!!! THIS WON'T BE THE LAST OF MEE!!" Koopa's voice trailed off in space, as he fell like a meteor. "..." M. Para Koopa looked again, speechless. "I'm so sorry... Maybe he survived the fall?" Mario said to M., As to comfort him. "Yeah... But that won't fix anything, since he's gone insane..." "Perhaps something can be done once we get back to Earth." Yoshi added. "Probably..." M. Para Koopa said, and sighed. "Let's go on." "Hey... Guys? I don't think it's safe for Peach to be here... What if Kamek does something to her?" Luigi asked. "Hmm... This is not an excuse for you to leave, right?" Mario said back to Luigi. "... Dang it." "Well, he's right! Bowser's gone, but we all know that Kamek's always been more tricky than his master. He could pull up any trick right now." Yoshi answered. "And you're precisely right." A familiar voice sounded about, and the platform started to shake. "Just what Yoshi said! Let's get out!" Mario said, and frantically ran from the platform, upper into the Dreadnought. "Woah!" Luigi followed, dragging Peach behind. "Yoshi! I'll give you a lift! Come on!" M. Para Koopa said, and grabbed Yoshi by a hand. "Alright!" Yoshi nodded, and they flew up, just as the platform crumbled in pieces, and scattered around the area. At the main computer room, deep in the heart of the Dreadnought, Kamek stood, watching Yoshi from the many cameras in the ship, also seeing Mario and friends get away. "Well, Koopa served enough. It's up to me to get rid of the obstacles in my path. He looked at another screen, which displayed the Mushroom Kingdom, being devastated by the meteor storm. "I'll blast this planet off. I'll do Bowser's Empire. Time for the launch." Kamek said, and laughed a bit. He looked around, his eyes navigating the buttons, when suddenly, a hammer hit him from behind. "Huh?! Who was that?!" "Me. You're not getting out of this one. It ends here." A voice yelled. It was Yoshi. He entered the room, and picked up his hammer. His eyes were red with fury as he looked at Kamek. "Right... I should have known. You said that at the Galaxy Generator, and guess what? You didn't defeat me." Kamek said. "As such, I doubt you'll do it now." "Don't worry, I'm not alone." Yoshi moved aside. "That's right." M. Para Koopa said, stepping in. "We're 3." Mario said, also appearing. "Aww, what a cute group. Come at me, then. I'm ready." Kamek said. "Let's go!" Mario yelled, and the three ran towards Kamek. Kamek teleported frantically around the room, confusing Mario and M. Para Koopa. "What?!" "Where'd he go?!" They both asked, and bumped into each other. "Ow!" "Hmph!" Yoshi looked around, and right at a corner of the room, he saw Kamek. "Over here, Yosh!" Kamek said, taunting him. "There you are!" Yoshi ran to attack, but Kamek's reacted quickly, and teleported away, instead making Yoshi hit a button." "Wha?!" Yoshi looked around, and all screens in the room went red. A robotic voice announced. "Initiating Autodestruction Emergency Procedure. Please abandon the ship within 10 minutes and five seconds." The voice finished, and all the screens displayed the word 'Autodestruct' with the timer with the minutes stated under, and started counting. "We need to get out of here!" Mario said. "But, we need to get rid of Kamek!" M. Para Koopa added. "Huh.... What to do..." Yoshi pondered, and quickly got a solution. "Okay! You guys go find the safest exit. I'll fight Kamek." He stated, confident. "Alone?!" Mario said, surprised. "Yes. That way, Kamek will only focus on me, and I'll stall for time, and leave him in here, in case I don't defeat him." Yoshi explained. "... Alright. Good luck, Yoshi." M. Para Koopa said, assuringly. "Yes. We're all counting on you." Mario added. With that, the 2 dashed out the room. Yoshi followed, but while the others went down, he continued upwards on the ship. He looked at the sky, and sighed. "This is it. For your friends, and for the world." Yoshi told himself, and finished his way up. He was at the roof of the Dreadnought, where 2 platforms stood side to side. Kamek stood in one of them. "Here we go." Yoshi said, as he jumped up to the other platform. Now, both are face to face. Enemies from childhood and beyond. The Dark night sky darkened even more. The sun, posing above the Earth, gleamed as bright as ever. The faces of good and evil were shaded by the environment, but they could see themselves clearly. "Great job, 'friend'. Since this place is going down, I'm bringing you with it!! And everyone else is here as well. YOU WILL ALL FALL!" Kamek declared. "Not if I can stop you!" Yoshi said, and dodged a spell. The battle had begun. The battle was fierce. Yoshi alternated between his hammer and melee combat, while Kamek completely relied on spells. "You can't go on throwing spells forever!" Yoshi said, moving around. "You're right." Kamek chuckled, and then, scattered parts of the Dreadnought started floating up in the air. "Huh?!" "And now!" Kamek backed off, as the parts homed on Yoshi. Yoshi dodged some proyectiles, but most had hit him. "Yikes!" After that, things were taking a turn for the worse. "It's time for me to regain some advantage!" Kamek said, and dissapeared. "Where'd you go?!" Yoshi looked around, and the platform Kamek was in broke in pieces, and floated up. As Yoshi got ready, Kamek appeared behind him. "Here here!" Kamek said, and quickly dissapeared again. "Got you!" Yoshi swung his hammer back, but he hit nothing. "Hey!" He turned back, and one piece of the platform hit him in the head, disorienting him. "Gah!" "Ouch..." He moved around, dizzy. Kamek appeared quite above him. "I don't see defeat, as long as I can do whatever I want with easy manipulation. Except for this whole ship... Lucky you for that." He stated. "But, it does not matter, for this ends right here!" He slightly laughed, and reformed the broken platform, at his height, above Yoshi. "What... Wha?" Yoshi looked up, still disoriented from the hit. "Spell of dizziness. Patent pending. Now, good bye." Kamek said, and dropped the newly formed platform on Yoshi. "Wait.... WHAT?!" Yoshi shook his head, dissipating the spell. "Oh no!" Amidst the panic, he simply braced for impact. Kamek started smiling malevolently. "BOARD PLATFOOORM!" 2 voices yelled from the sky. "What in the name of?!" Kamek looked around, and saw a bright yellow light approach him. The light quickly shattered the platform back in pieces, making only slight, small rubble fall on Yoshi. "Huh?! What happened?!" Yoshi looked, and stood up, shaking off the rubble. "I'm asking the exact, same thing." Kamek added, and both looked where the light fell, and exclaimed. The light was the star power emanating from Mario and M. Para Koopa, who had arrived in the nick of time. "Did anyone wish for a Superstar defeat?!" Mario said, confidently. "Nope, but we're so generous we'll give it anyway!" M. Para Koopa added. "Guys?! What are you doing here?!" Yoshi said, surprised. "Helping you, of course! We already localized a nifty exit!" Mario explained. "No exit will be in your sight while I stand." Kamek said, angered. "Sure! Yoshi! Use a star from the Trial Galaxies! We have the upper hand!" M. Para Koopa suggested Yoshi, and both he and Mario jumped up to Kamek. "Yeah! I almost forgot!" Yoshi said, and took out one star. The star vanished, and a yellow aura surrounded him. He flashed brightly, along with his friends. He was now invincible. "Ready to go down, Kamek?!" Yoshi said, looking at him. "Gah! That light!!" Kamek flinched and looked aside. "No! I won't go down!" "So sure?!" Mario said, and jumped at him, knocking him down from flight. "AHH!!" "I'm off with the Mushroom Kingdom, 'friend'!" M. Para Koopa added, and flew past Kamek, hitting him. "Ouch..." "Here you go!" Yoshi said happily, and pinned him down to the floor with his hammer. "Agh! Stop it!" Kamek yelled, the star's power weakening him. "Stop?! We got several minutes on clock, so let's finish this!" Mario said. "Sure thing!" Yoshi agreed, and the 3 friends continued attacking Kamek. After minutes of crashing and bashing the Magikoopa, their power star faded away. Kamek was in the middle of the platform, trashed. "Augh... Pain... So much pain..." Kamek said, weak. "Well, he's definitely done for." M. Para Koopa said. "Yup..." Mario nodded, and looked at Yoshi. "Wanna do the honors?" "Sure thing." Yoshi said, and approached Kamek. "... Have mercy... Please..." Kamek muttered regretful. "Mercy?! You want MERCY?! After all you've done these years, you want, MERCY?!" Yoshi yelled, angered, and grabbed Kamek. "Ack... I... Well..." "No need to say anything. This ends right here. Your reign of terror, it's over." Yoshi said, and walked toward the platform's edge, facing the rest of the Dreadnought. Mario and M. Para Koopa looked, nervously. "Oh joy...." Kamek said, sarcastically. "Well. Any last words?" Yoshi asked. Kamek didn't respond. He simply grunted. "Alright. Good bye, Kamek. Game Over." And with those words, Yoshi flung Kamek over to the Dreadnought's heart, while screams and hits could be heard along the way. "We did it..." Mario said. "At last..." M. Para Koopa added, relieved. "We've defeated Kamek!" Both jumped up, happily. "Hey, Yoshi! What's the matter?! Aren't you happy?!" Mario asked, noticing Yoshi's silence. "Yeah... But we're forgetting something..." Yoshi said, and looked around. "Luigi and the Princess! Right!" Mario said, remembering. "That... And..." Yoshi went silent again, and gasped. "The Autodestruction thing?! This thing's going to explode any moment now!!!" He yelled. "Yes!! Let's get out of here!!" M. Para Koopa grabbed Yoshi, and led him to where the exit was, Mario following behind. "Do you think they made it?" Luigi asked, scared. "Yes. Someone as simple as Kamek won't make them fall." Peach assured Luigi. "Here we are!" Mario arrived, and Yoshi and M. Shortly after. "Yay! You're okay, bro!" Luigi said, happily. "Yes! But we need to get out of here! This place is going to go ka boom!" Mario alerted them. "WHAT?!" Luigi and Peach exclaimed, shocked. "Yeah!!! Get ready for a harsh fall!!" Yoshi said to everyone. "JUMP!!" Mario screamed, and everyone jumped out of the Dreadnought, screaming in craziness and panic as they fell. However, in the Dreadnought, Kamek had fell back in the computer room, barely alive. "Drats... I've lost... But I'm okay... Kind of..." Kamek told himself as he stood up, and looked at the main screen, that displayed that the ship would self destruct in 10 seconds. "Oh no..." He just plopped himself in the floor, as he was very, very weak. "AAAHHHH!!! YOSHI!!! M. PARA KOOPA!!! EVERYONE!!! THIS ISN'T OVER!!! I'LL COME BACK!!!! DAMN YOU ALL!!!!" Kamek screamed in anger and agony, as the Dreadnought completely went up in Flames, and exploded spectacularly, with him in it, and at the source of the explosion. Later, the skies of Mushroom Kingdom cleared. The Toads celebrated in joy as the Dreadnought exploded in pieces. The invasion was over. Everyone fell in random places. Peach fell in a tree, Luigi on a nearby pond, and Mario... On the asphalt. "Well, at least my fall wasn't so bad." Peach commented, while stepping out of the tree. "Yeah, mine neither. Water's good!" Luigi added. "Uh huh... Keep talking... I got the harsh fall Yoshi mentioned... Mamma Mia..." Mario replied, and Peach and Luigi laughed a bit. "Heh... Hey, I see Yoshi!" Luigi said, and pointed out to M. Para Koopa, safely carrying Yoshi down. "Yeah, I see him too!" Mario said. They saw them come down, and land right before them. "At last... It's all done." Yoshi said, and sighed in relief. "Indeed. Kamek has been defeated, and their plan has been shut down for good." Luigi said, sighing in relief. "Yep... Bowser is also dead, I think..." Mario said, looking in the distance. "Also... Please, trust M. Para Koopa." Yoshi pleaded. "He's as lawful as us. He's good. He's on our side. And if Bowser comes back, he'll be there to help us. If not, know that he is a Koopa of good." He continued, and looked at Mario, his eyes telling Mario he demanded an answer. ".... Alright." Mario nodded. "M., Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom. Please forgive me for all the erroneous accusations, and for fighting you. I'm deeply sorry. I now see the true friendship you and Yoshi share." "Thanks... And, I forgive you. I can understand why you wouldn't trust me. Us Koopas aren't the most neutral at times. I never wanted to hurt Yoshi, from the very beginning." M. Para Koopa said. "It's great to see all end well." Peach told everyone, and smiled. Everyone smiled as well. "I honestly think we should throw a party. For Yoshi's bravery, and amazing victory!" Luigi declared, and everyone agreed. "Yeah! Come on, Yoshi, and M. Para Koopa. Let's have some fun!" Mario said, and looked at both. "Okay. You guys go ahead, we'll be there soon." Yoshi said, and Mario nodded. He, Luigi and Peach left, leaving Yoshi and M. Para Koopa, lone on the road, with the night sky. "Man, this all went by so fast, I can't even believe it." Yoshi said to M. Para Koopa. "Me too. I'm kinda sad about Koopa, though. I shouldn't have made jokes about him." M. Replied, looking down. "Don't worry. I think he became so corrupted with Kamek's desire to kill us, he didn't think any other alternative." "Yup... Oh well. Let's go to the castle, Yosh." M. Para Koopa said, and he and Yoshi made their way to Peach's Castle, looking at the stars in the horizon. It was all over.
